Why we launched a marketing agency in 2025: “You can just do things”
Sometimes in life, you get an opportunity or an idea, and it will probably look risky or scary or too difficult. The way through is often “just to do it”, one action at a time. Without thinking big and following through, nothing’s going to happen.
As Managing Director of a new marketing agency, I’m thrilled to be leading our team through this process of throwing caution to the wind, setting up a new company and “just doing it”.
EquityEdge Studio was born from a shared vision between me, an investor and financial content marketer, a graphic designer and an operations strategist. We are longtime colleagues, with over 30 years’ experience between us in the asset management sector, having been trusted to produce content and designs for many of the top global asset managers.
One reason we founded our agency was to employ our set of shared values and our vision, which everything else springs from. These guide how we operate internally and externally.

I and our lead designer have been close colleagues for many years, with me working on the content. Our preferred process does not see design and content as entirely separate stages, but we like to collaborate from day one so that the design influences the content and the content simultaneously informs the design. This collaborative process boosts our creativity to achieve the exceptional results we strive for.
As a boutique firm of financial services experts, we wanted to deliver a more personalised service, where our clients are close connections rather than numbers on the income statement. We strive for personalised care and consideration.
We also sought to be free to explore the latest technologies in our roles, including AI. We are realists in that we do not arrogantly think we are better off without AI entirely. On the contrary, we believe we can’t be at the cutting edge of marketing without utilising the very latest technologies. We use technologies as tools to boost our research and creativity, and to streamline processes, not to replace our expert writers and designers.
